FibroScan® – Detect and Treat NAFLD
NAFLD stands for ‘Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease’. It is the accumulation of significant amount of fat in the liver not caused by alcohol.
Typically there are no symptoms of NAFLD. If they appear, symptoms include fatigue, weakness, weight loss, limited appetite, nausea, abdominal pain, jaundice, swelling in legs and abdomen, and mental confusion.
When NAFLD becomes severe it progresses to a condition called nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), leading to liver damage.
